I have always been enamored with fine jewelry. Our family ring, designed and worn by my late grandfather and then re designed and worn by my late grandmother, was the first piece of gold and diamonds I consciously set my heart on.

Crafting Solid Gold Charms

When I started my jewelry company in 2015, I had to rely on pre made charms, made by others. I always dreamed of having my own collection of hand made solid gold charms - special keepsakes for clients to collect and share with their family generations.

Evolution of Charms: From Wax Sculpting to Polymer Clay

Over the past few years I have learned through trial and error, how the process of casting works. My first pieces were sculpted in wax and cast in silver and gold. When I learned how much easier it was to sculpt using polymer clay, my charms started to evolve. I have also enjoyed casting every day objects - our shell pendant is the best example of this.

Bunny Shapiro: From A Bead Shop in Ontario to A Major Lifestyle Change in Puerto Vallarta

The Journey of Bunny Shapiro:

From her early experience working at a bead shop in near her home in Ontario, Canada to decades of corporate retail visual merchandising experience in New York City, Bunny Shapiro found herself in a full-circle moment settling into a newfound freedom of a lifestyle change in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 

Collaborations and Press Highlights

What started as gifting handmade beaded bracelets as tokens of appreciation for local friends and colleagues, grew into an established line as the demand for her playful designs grew. After stumbling upon what later became her shop and studio in 2016, she had an official home base for her creations to reach even further. She first partnered with Parisian retailer Collette and has since collaborated concept stores all over the world including Mira Mikati, The Conran Shop, Kirna Zabete, Clare V, Billionaire Boys Club. Press highlights include Seventeen, Cosmopolitan, The Wall Street Journal.

Using Japanese seed beads, semi-precious stones and playful accents like flowers, letter beads and charms, her signature wrap bracelets and full range of beaded silhouettes inspire nostalgia, the freedom of expression and unapologetic joy for all.
